IVORY PARK – Seven man shot a man after claiming he was involved in the murder of their friend.

Ivory Park police are asking for the community’s assistance in cracking a murder case of a man who was shot 15 times in Ext 15, Ivory Park on 26 January.

Ivory Park Police Station spokesperson, Captain Bernard Matimulane said the victim, a 35-year-old Zimbabwean national, was out when a group of seven armed men came looking for him at his house. “Upon finding his girlfriend and not him, the group forcefully took his girlfriend’s phone in order to prevent her from informing him that they came looking for him.

“The men later saw the deceased at a local tuck shop where they started firing shots at him from multiple directions. After falling to the ground, the suspects continued shooting at him as if they wanted to make sure that he was dead. The man was certified dead at the scene.”
