Grade 1s at Christ Church Preparatory School are excited to kick off their school career

MIDRAND – It was a day of great excitement as Christ Church Preparatory School and College welcomed a new Grade 1 class.


The Christ Church Preparatory School and College Grade 1 kids started their first day of ‘big’ school on 15 January.

Principal of the school David Bell said, “Christ Church Preparatory School and College had an awesome start to the year. The new Grade 1s, in their oversized school uniforms, had the cute factor as they entered ‘big’ school for the first time.

“There was a great buzz around the school as old acquaintances were renewed and new friends were made.”

The new learners were guided by their parents and introduced to their new classrooms and teachers. Grade 1 teacher Rietjie Pienaar said, “It’s an extremely exciting day. The Grade 1 classes are always so lovely, and it is the most rewarding class to teach because everything they learn sets them up for the rest of their school career.”
