Mad SA makes a meaningful difference in Midrand

MIDRAND – Making a Difference South Africa encourages community members to look out for those less fortunate during the festive season.

Chan Naidoo, chief executive officer for Midrand-based non-profit organisation Making A Difference South Africa (Mad SA) writes:

Mad SA has positively changed thousands of lives in Johannesburg and KwaZulu-Natal.

Mad SA seeks to make a meaningful difference to the lives of people negatively impacted by the circumstances they find themselves in. Mad SA’s primary focus is to create a platform for children to rise above their circumstance to create a better life for themselves and ultimately transcend out of their difficulties. Sharing a common vision with donors across the country, Mad SA has experienced growth in 2019 to bring positive change to thousands of lives.

In 2019, several new donors and partners joined the efforts of Mad SA to bring sustainable change to the lives of children. Mad SA has become active in emergency response and has brought much-needed relief to communities impacted by natural disasters both in South Africa and in Mozambique.

The need for school shoes, socks and stationery is needed by various communities and I have set an ambitious target between 5 000 to 7 000 pairs of school shoes, socks and stationery in 2020.

This ambitious target can only be achieved with the help of donors and Mad SA appeals to individuals and corporates to contribute to the 2020 school shoe campaign.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all donors, partners and teams on the ground that helped make a huge difference to the lives of our various communities.

My warmest wishes over the festive season to the people of Midrand and Johannesburg generally.

I also appeal to all to remember those less fortunate than yourself and step forward, be the change in 2020 and support Mad SA to transform lives.
