Shooting leaves one dead and two critical

OLIVENHOUTBOSCH – ER24's spokesperson Russel Meiring said that the two other men were assessed and found to have sustained several gunshot wounds and were in a critical condition.


One man was killed and two others left critically injured this morning (2 December) following a shooting incident on the R55 in Olivenhoutbosch.  

ER24’s spokesperson Russel Meiring said that ER24 paramedics, along with the Gauteng provincial services, arrived on the scene to find the local authorities already in attendance.

One man was found lying inside a light motor vehicle while two other men were found lying outside. “Medics assessed the patients and found that the man lying inside the vehicle had sustained numerous gunshot wounds and showed no signs of life. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead,” said Meiring.

He added that the two other men were assessed and found to have sustained several gunshot wounds and were in a critical condition.

The men were treated for their injuries and were provided with advanced life support interventions before they were transported to a nearby hospital for further care.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
