BLUE HILLS – Midrand police are searching for a wanted person involved in an armed robbery.

Midrand police are requesting the public to come forward with any information on a suspect in connection with an armed robbery in Blue Hills.

The spokesperson for the Midrand Police Station Constable Eliot Mabulane said the robbery occurred in August this year when a motorist caught in bumper-to-bumper traffic was approached by the armed suspect at the driver’s window. The suspect revealed his firearm and attempted to force himself into the victim’s car.

Mabulane added that two other suspects approached the car and opened the passenger door and the boot. The suspects allegedly stole three cameras, lenses, lighting equipment and a laptop bag before fleeing the scene in another vehicle.
