Cupcakes of Hope is a non-profit organisation which provides funds for children living with cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Cupcakes of Hope founder, Sandy Cipriano explained, “Today we are extremely excited to be launching our partnership with Defy for our campaign #BakeADifference. Our aim is to get the whole community involved, to ‘bake a difference’ or rather make a difference.

Cipriano said that if you are not a baker, you can still come and visit them at the mall. By making a R10 donation, you will receive a beautiful, handmade cupcake made with love, and receive an awareness leaflet which educates parents on the early warning signs of cancer.

Defy’s marketing director for Sub-Saharan Africa Rajan Gungiah told the Midrand Reporter why they decided to get involved. “The foundation is doing something really special by helping and assisting people that are in need.
