Monthly book sale is in full swing

VORNA VALLEY – The Society for Animals in Distress held their special monthly book sale to raise funds.

The Society for Animals in Distress (Said) hosted their monthly book sale on 31 August.

The sale took place at the society’s Vorna Valley premises. Fundraising manager Karin Demir said that the monthly sale gives a much-needed income stream for the society’s projects which aims at delivering important medical interventions to animals in need in 11 low-income communities.

The interventions include sterilisations that protect animals from excessive breeding, vaccinations and infection treatment. Demir added, “These book sale clients helped 78 animals in underprivileged communities with preventative treatments and consequently impacted the quality of lives of many others. This is critical to the success of our organisation.”

The society is calling on all residents to kindly donate any well-loved books for their upcoming sale which will take place on 28 September. All book lovers are invited to join in on the sale.
