Task team nabs suspect in Olievenhoutbosch just two days after Sandton house robbery

OLIEVENHOUTBOSCH – 'The suspect is employed as a gardener by the victims and has been positively identified by the victims.'

The Johannesburg North Trio Task team traced and arrested one house robbery suspect in Olievenhoutbosch at about 5pm yesterday, 24 August.

This is according to a post on the Sandton Community Policing Forum (CPF) Facebook page.

“The suspect is employed as a gardener by the victims and has been positively identified by the victims,” read the post.

“The house robbery occurred on Thursday (22 August) at about 6.30am in Edenburg, Sandton. The members are Sergeant Mabula, Sergeant Lebea, Constable Sigidi and Constable Tshisani of Sandton detectives who are part of the Trio task team. Further follow ups are being made for the other outstanding suspects.

“We once again urge residents to get police clearances for their employees and to verify their identity and credentials before employing them.

“With thanks to Sandton SAPS Station Commander Brigadier Moodley for the above update. Well done to Trio Task Team detectives and all involved in making this arrest.”
