Be on the lookout, urges Midrand police

MIDRAND – The Midrand Police urges the community to assist in finding two armed robbery suspects.


Midrand Police Station is asking for assistance from the community in connection with two wanted armed robbers aged between 30 and 35.

Midrand police spokesperson Constable Eliot Mabulane said one suspect is a black male, medium in complexion and height, has a shaven head and is a South African citizen. “The suspect was last spotted driving a silver Mercedes-Benz wearing a brown T-shirt and jeans [and is in possession of a] black firearm,” said Mabulane.

“The suspect speaks English.” Mabulane said the suspect is wanted after blocking the vehicle of a victim with the silver Mercedes-Benz on Dale Road in Glen Austin at about 6.30am on [date]. The suspect apparently demanded cash and hit the victim with his firearm. He then searched the victim and took R15 000 in cash. “The second suspect is a black South African national, last seen wearing a black beanie, in his 30s, and medium in height.

The man is chubby, normal eye colour and light in complexion. “The suspect speaks English and is very aggressive in nature. Both the suspects wear jewellery and carry firearms.”
