Rand Water pipe bursts

JOHANNESBURG – According to Joburg Water, water tankers will be available after a major pipe burst in the area.


A Rand Water pipe experienced a burst on their O2 pipeline on 3 August.

According to Johannesburg Water’s Twitter account, Rabie Ridge, Diepsloot and President Park reservoir outlets had to be closed, due to this. The cause of the burst has not been made public.

Rand Water also posted a tweet regarding the repairs of the pipe and said that they expect that water should be fully restored in all areas later on today, 5 August.

Joburg Water said water tankers can be found at the following spots while the matter is being fixed:

There will also be roaming tankers in the Diepsloot area.
