Beaulieu’s riders shine

BEAULIEU – The Bealieu College have 17 riders in the Gauteng Regional Team.

Beaulieu College have expressed pride in 17 riders who have been selected for the Gauteng regional team.

Spokesperson for the school Lynette Gray said, “Beaulieu College has been at the forefront of horse riding as a school sport for many years now.”

Gray added, “We are very proud to announce that 17 of our riders were all selected for the 2019 Gauteng Regional Team.”

The riders had been participating in various qualifications throughout the year and were confirmed to compete for the Gauteng Regional team in their first competition between 9 to 11 August at Misty Meadows Stables in Rietfontein.

The learners who made the team were Erin White, Shelley van der Wel, Kiara Burn, Keila Siebrits, Cameron Hartnady, Gareth Smith, Emma Dicks, Anna Versfeld, Amber Furmeier, Sasha-Lee Valadao, Kaylin Brereton-Stiles, Micayla Powell, Arina Niyaki, Kelci Cronje, Sam Cox Jessica Turner and Ruth Versfeld.

Head of equestrian sports at Bealieu College Kim Hughes said, “We are so proud of our team of riders, horses, parents, grooms and all other supporters who represent Beaulieu College so well not only with their accomplishments but also the way they handle their horses.”
