Business robbed in Vorna Valley

VORNA VALLEY – The Midrand police are investigating a garage robbery that took place in Vorna Valley.

 


The Midrand police have opened a case of business robbery after an incident in Vorna Valley.

A spokesperson for the Midrand Police Station Constable Thabiso Selowa said the incident occurred on 10 July at a garage on Harry Galaun Avenue at 7.30pm. The complainant was on duty at the garage when four suspects entered.

One of the suspects, who was brandishing a pistol, allegedly pointed his firearm at the complainant while the other three took money from the business cash register.

The suspects fled the scene with approximately R4 000 and an undisclosed quantity of cigarettes.

Selowa added that no suspects have been arrested and the police are investigating the matter. She asked any community members with information concerning the robbery to contact Midrand Police Station at 011 347 1600.
