Local hip-hop trio, 3 PLug released a new single Vanessa on 14 June.
The vibrant trio consists of Xolile Mahlangu, Sizwe Ngubeni and Sifiso Mnyimbane who was born and bred in the dusty streets of Ivory Park. The childhood friends had a passion for music and they started embarking on their music career in 2010.
They explained that they started to discover other elements of music and they realised that they were not just rappers but have other hidden talents such as singing, producing and performing.
The trio is currently working on the music video for Vanessa which will be released around August.
“On the other side, we currently working on our first project EP that will also be announced soon,” they said. “We look forward to featuring the likes of The Big Hash, Moozlie, J Molly and A-Reece on the EP. We have never featured any other artist since we started making music, these will be our first ever collaborations.”
They added that after releasing their debut project, they were planning to perform around the country.
