Prep school spoils dads

MIDRAND – The children at Express!ons Junior prep celebrated Father's Day with their dads.

The learners from Express!ons Junior Preparatory School recently hosted their dads for a Father’s Day celebration.

Founder of the school Carla De Gouveia said, “In the past, we have had very energetic themes for our Father’s Day celebrations. All were rather active and required the dads to put in some effort, from building tents, to completing obstacle courses, to cooking their own jaffles for lunch.”

She said that the school spoiled the dads this year by giving them an opportunity to relax and enjoy a couple of hours with their children. “We have some awesome dads at our school, fathers who are involved and loving and hands-on, and so we wanted to treat them.”

The learners gave their fathers a personalised mug and artwork alongside a certificate they had made in their art classes earlier in the week.

They also performed a special dance for their dads before serving them a delicious lunch – chicken or vegetable biryani, topped off with apple pie.
