Shooting incident leaves two injured

BLUE HILLS – Paramedics found the two men lying on the side of the road – local authorities and other emergency services were already present.


A shooting in Blue Hills, Olifantsfontein, left two men injured yesterday afternoon (6 June). 

The men were found lying on the side of the road on an embankment when the ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene – local authorities and other emergency services were already present when they arrived at 1.25pm.  

“Paramedics assessed the men and found that one had sustained numerous gunshot wounds and was in a critical condition while the second man had sustained a gunshot wound to his leg, leaving him in a serious condition,” Russel Mering from the communications office of ER24 said.

Meiring added that the men were treated for their injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the patients were transported to a nearby hospital for further care.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
