Rabie Ridge police Captain retires after 33 years of service

MIDRAND – Rabie Ridge Police Captain says goodbye after serving for 33 years at the station.


Captain Mofana Matsobane Masela of the Rabie Ridge Police Station is retiring after serving in the police for more than 30 years.

Masela started working at the station on 24 October 1986 with the determination to protect his community.

As of 1 June, Masela will no longer be a member of the service.

“Serving at the Rabie Ridge SAPS for so many years was really a great experience for me, however, the journey was not easy as it was a bit challenging sometimes.

“But I personally learned a lot and I feel very proud to say that I served and protected my community to live in a safe environment.”
