The Midrand Police Station have taken down a number of suspects accused of various crimes recently.
The police ran joint operations with members from various security companies and alongside participating community policing forums and made a number of arrests since 5 January.
The police arrested suspects for the following:
• 1 for murder
• 17 for possession of an illegal substance
• 22 for driving under the influence
• 1 for assault with the intent to commit grievous bodily harm
• 17 for prostitution
• 1 for public drunkenness
• 2 undocumented persons
• 1 for the possession of suspected stolen property.
Spokesperson for the station Sergeant Matome Tlamela said, “Thanks to all security and community policing forums for their continued support during these operations.”
