Eight people injured in Olievenhoutbosch collision

OLIEVENHOUTBOSCH – Paramedics found that eight people had sustained minor to moderate injuries.


Eight people were injured when a light motor vehicle and a bakkie collided at the R55 and N14 intersection in Olievenhoutbosch last night, 24 February.

ER24’s communications officer Russel Meiring said in a statement that when the paramedics arrived on the scene, at 8.39pm last night, the two motor vehicles involved in the collision were found in the middle of the intersection.

The patients, who were found walking around the scene of the collision, were then assessed by the paramedics and eight were found to have sustained minor to moderate injuries.

“Fortunately, no fatalities were found on the scene,” said Meiring.

He further stated that the patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.

“Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.”
