MIDRAND – Police officers in the cluster received awards for excellence and appreciation.

 


Sandton Cluster Commander Major General Nicholas Sithole has thanked police officers for their ‘selfless acts’ and excellent work.

This comes after three suspects were arrested and two unlicensed firearms with ammunition were recovered on 8 January this year.

A vehicle linked to a hijacking case in Primrose was also recovered.

On 11 January more arrests were made in another case relating to hijacking incident in Alexandra.

One suspect was arrested and an unlicensed firearm with ammunition and a vehicle were recovered in Sandton.

Sithole concluded, “Thank you for your dedication and perseverance.

“We look forward to continued partnership with security companies and the CPF guardian [patrollers].”
