The Electoral Commission will officially launch the 2019 National and Provincial Elections today, 10 January, in Midrand at the Gallagher Convention Centre.
The purpose of the launch is to unveil the entity’s communications campaign and this year’s logo for the upcoming elections. The launch also aims to inform the South African electorate and the general public on the readiness for the final voter registration weekend (26 to 27 January from 8am to 5pm). To ensure you are registered, visit www.elections.org.za/regweekend
Stakeholders from different national and provincial entities, which will include the key electoral role players such as political parties; judiciary; members of parliament; government; business; ambassadors and non-government organisations, will also be in attendance.
The Midrand Reporter is reporting live from the launch. Follow us on Facebook or Twitter.
Nice to see the @IECSouthAfrica take some advice from a youth workshop we hosted together a few months ago. We need to get more young people registered and voting. #Elections2019 https://t.co/SQNNXKymOu
