Youngsters’ imaginations soar as high as kites at Sagewood School

The Grade 0 Yellow class at Sagewood School embraced that saying when they made some kites for the windy weather.

American actress Lauren Bacall once said, ‘Imagination is the highest kite that can fly.’

The Grade 0 Yellow class at Sagewood School embraced that saying when they made some kites for the windy weather.

The school said the children practised their cutting skills by cutting out a fish.

They were given different coloured glue paper to choose from which they tore and stuck onto their fish, and used crêpe paper to create the fish tails.

The children were very excited to go outside and fly their kites.

Learner Dante Mackerdhooj said, “Wow teacher, it is working.”

Ashir Mohabeer added, “The wind is blowing it so high.”

Minkhenso Mboweni exclaimed, “I need to run very fast to get it high.”

Onele Nofemele said, “My kite is so colourful, but I am getting tired from all the running.”
