Power restored after Noordwyk substation encounters a ‘total loss of supply’

NOORDWYK – City Power could not give an estimated restoration time.

Residents in Noordwyk awoke to no power this morning, 16 September, and spent most of the day without electricity.
Residents however confirmed that by this evening, power had been restored to the many areas affected, such as Noordwyk and Country View.
Earlier this morning, City Power stated on Twitter that the Noordwyk substation was encountering a ‘total loss of supply’.
This, due to planned maintenance by power entity, Eskom.
City Power had said that no estimated time of restoration had been communicated but that it would communicate with residents when power would be restored.
