DON’T MISS OUT: Information session for Grade 9 learners to help make best-suited subject choices

JOBURG – Monash South Africa (MSA) will be providing insight on matters concerning Grade 9 learners' education and future career aspirations at an information session on 28 July.

Monash South Africa (MSA) will be hosting a Grade 9 Subject Choice Information session on Saturday, 28 July 2018 at its campus in Ruimsig to assist learners in making well-informed subject choices.

Grade 9 is often viewed as one of the most crucial grades in a learner’s life due to its direct impact on career paths. Learners in this Grade experience the most pressure from their surroundings as they are expected to make perfect subject choices for years ahead from Grade 10 to Grade 12. The subject choices made will also determine the tertiary qualifications they can enrol into after completing Grade 12.

To assist them in making their decision, Monash South Africa will be providing insight on subject choices and matters concerning the learners’ education and future career aspirations at this information session, from 9am to 12 noon.

Not only will attending the session result in insight for the learners, they will stand a chance to win a Birkman Occupational and Behavioural Assessments Evaluation valued at R2 500. This is an assessment that measures various aspects of personality and interests (what you enjoy and what motivates you in your personal and professional life).

The session will be covering topics such as the 4th Industrial Revolution, financial planning for higher education, a career interest online evaluation as well as a How to Guide your Child with Their Subject Selection specifically aimed at parents who’ll also be attending.
