Seven-year-old boy found lying next to the road after he was knocked down by a truck in Rabie Ridge

MIDRAND – Paramedics stabilised a seven-year-old boy and transported him to hospital after he was bumped by a truck.

 

A seven-year-old boy was left with minor to moderate injuries on 29 June after being knocked down by a truck on the M38 in Rabie Ridge.

Marketing and Communication Officer at Netcare 911, Tebogo Magoro said, “When Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on scene at about 8.51am, they found the boy lying next to the road. Paramedics assessed the boy and found that he sustained minor to moderate injuries. Netcare 911 stabilised the boy on the scene before transporting him to the hospital for further medical care.”

According to Magoro, the boy was allegedly running across the street when he was knocked down by the truck. He added, “The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not yet known to our paramedics but local authorities were on scene to investigate.”
