A case of malicious damage to property was recently opened by a father against his son at the Midrand Police Station.
The complainant, who resides in Blue Hills, opened the case on 19 June after his son had broken down the door of his house and started throwing stuff at him and his wife.
Spokesperson Sergeant Matome Tlamela said, “The complainant and his wife were relaxing in their sitting room when their son came out of his room and started shouting and swearing at them.”
The complainant told his son to stop shouting and swearing, but he refused and continued to do so as he went back to his room.
“The complainant then slapped his son and his son went out the house and continued to shout and swear.”
The mother then closed and locked the door.
“The suspect then continued to kick at the door until it broke and then he came inside the house and started throwing things at his parents. The complainant told his son to move out and find his own place and then called the police for assistance.”
Tlamela added that the suspect was arrested on the scene.
