Untarred, dark roads and infrastructure issues plague Midrand

MIDRAND – River Walk complex residents held a meeting with Madeleine Hicklin.

Residents of River Walk complex in Noordwyk recently invited Ward 112 councillor Madeleine Hicklin for a meeting to discuss some of the resident’s grievances.

Ward 112 councillor Madeleine Hicklin.

The residents, led by Enos Maluleke, raised their grievances to the councillor and Maluleke hopes that this form of action will assist in having their issues attended to.

Resident grievances:

Hicklin replied to the grievances by stating if residents have a piece of land they want, it’s best to find out who owns it so they can discuss their plans with the owner directly. With regards to the high levels of dumping, the councillor said people can WhatsApp or SMS 082 779 1361 for dumping issues.

“If residents are not receiving their monthly billing statement, one is able to request it on the e-services,” said Hicklin.

The councillor has encouraged people to email their problems to her at ward112jhb@gmail.com so she can escalate the problem if need be.

Hicklin will be away from 28 June to 10 July and has asked that if problems occur while she is away, residents should wait for her to return as no one will be available to attend to the problems in her absence.

However, in the case of an emergency, residents are urged to contact Candice James, Jullie Suddaby or Nicole Rahn.

Details: Candice James 074 134 6459; Jullie Suddaby 082 457 5972; Nina Manzoni 079 458 4677; Nicole Rahn 083 236 6737.
