Man sexually assaults his employer, fined R2 000 and faces deportation

JOBURG – The court also ordered that the man is to be deported back to his home country.

The Randburg Magistrates’ Court has sentenced a 31-year-old man to pay a R2 000 fine or spend 12 months in prison.

Brighton Musiso was found guilty of a sexual assault that took place on 26 November last year.

Musiso climbed on top of the complainant and also strangled her while trying to take her shorts off.

The incident took place at a home in Linden where he was employed as a gardener.

While he was trying to rape his employer, she managed to overpower him and called for help.

A security company responded immediately and he was apprehended while trying to run away. Musiso has been in custody since his arrest.

He was denied bail because he was in the country illegally.

Magistrate Lebogang Leshaba also ordered that Musiso is to be deported back to his home country.
