High visibility on Midrand hotspots

MIDRAND – Midrand police will increase operations at hotspots.

 

Midrand Police Station commander Brigadier David Tsotsotso held an internal discussion with Midrand police officials on 8 June following an operation aimed at addressing various crime hotspots in the area.

Midrand police spokesperson Sergeant Matome Tlamela said, “The purpose of the operation is to bring the crime rate down, addressing contact crimes, hijackings, house robberies, burglaries and theft.

“Numerous stop and searches and high visibility patrols were held as part of the operation.”

Tsotsotso said he would implement more operations to ensure that there is a high visibility in the area to decrease crime and ensure that the community feels safe.

Midrand police spokesperson Matome Tlamela explains that they want to bring down the crime rate through operations like these.
