The Caxton Joburg North branch is on the hunt for an online journalist to produce online content for our nine websites.
The applicant must:
- Have a tertiary qualification in journalism, media studies or communication science
- Have a keen interest in news, entertainment, sport and know what is trending on social media
- Have a keen interest in Joburg’s northern suburbs and community journalism
- Be able to liaise with a team, follow direction and work individually
- Be organised
- Be able to generate story ideas and follow them through
- Be computer literate and have a keen interest in producing digital content including videos, photos and social media
- Have experience in writing online content
- Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary
