Summerhill College and Preparatory School welcomes their new netball coach

MIDRAND – Summerhill College is excited to welcome their new addition to sports.

Summerhill College and Preparatory School has welcomed their new netball coach Keneiloe Kgasi, who has coached and played in the various ranks of netball provincially and nationally.

Felidia Klaaste of Summerhill said they were very excited to have coach Kgasi, known as coach Kenny, joining the school’s sports department.

“Coach Kenny brings with her a wealth of experience and expertise, having participated in netball, hockey, swimming, tennis, cricket, cross-country, rhythmic and artistic gymnastics as well as being a drum majorette during her schooling years,” said Klaaste.

“In 2015 to 2016, Kenny represented South Africa at the Netball World Cup in New Zealand. In 2015, she played for the Jaguars, and in 2016 for The Golden Fireballs in the Brutal Fruit Premier Netball League. Currently, she is representing The Sunbirds in this league.”

Klaaste added that having an individual with the experience that Kgasi had, would not only benefit the school but would also encourage their netball players to seek careers in sports.

“We are so lucky to have her as a part of our team and look forward to the positive impact she will have as a coach at Summerhill.”
