MIDRAND – Kuzondlula Motivational Tours has been invited to the United States by Church of God in Christ to continue their youth programmes.
Kuzondlula Motivational Tours (KMT) has been invited again by the Church of God in Christ (COGIC) under the leadership of Bishop Charles Blake who was the religious advisor for the former USA President Barack Obama to participate in the Awakening community programme and leadership conference.
The conference will be taking place in the following cities: Detroit, Chicago, Memphis, Grand Rapids and Texas. “We have made a tremendous contribution to their programmes during our visit last year and they saw a need to invite us again as guest speakers.
“If there is one thing we have learnt from our trip last year it is independence and sustainability. Thus, we have strategised and sought ways to sustain our programmes and make sure we have multiple ways to finance our programmes,” said the founder of KMT, Vuyo Sibiya.
“After the church invited us, we proposed they offer us a platform to raise funds in order to sustain and expand our programmes to which they agreed.
“The church gathers a number of esteemed business people and philanthropists who can participate financially towards assisting us to raise funds.”
The following are the programmes KMT participated in Detroit last year:
• Youth on Mission: This is an empowerment
programme targeting young adults
• The Awaking: A community outreach programme
designed to uplift the communities of Detroit. “We went in the neighbourhoods giving the needy food and clothes. We also had one- on-one sessions where we
talked to the community members, especially the
underprivileged.”
• Leadership conference:
“This was a two-day conference where we were equipped with leadership
skills, about the importance to serve the community and the country at large.”
These are the programmes KMT will be raising funds for:
• Kuzondlula
entrepreneurship school programme to promote entrepreneurship in schools
• Technovation codex

promote coding at highschool level
