Tswelopele man found dead after robbery

MIDRAND – The deceased heard a commotion from another room in the same yard.

 

Ivory Park police urgently need information with regard to the murder of a 40-year-old man who was found shot dead at his home in Tswelopele.

According to the police, witness reports indicate that the deceased allegedly heard a commotion from another room in the same yard. A group of five armed robbers were allegedly robbing a neighbour who also operates a tuck shop.

“It is alleged that immediately after they robbed the tuck shop owner, three shots were fired from outside and that was where the victim was found lying, in the early hours of 26 April with a gunshot wound in his upper back. His room was ransacked and his phone is missing,” said the spokesperson for Ivory Park Police Station, Captain Bernard Matimulane.

A case of murder and robbery has been opened at the Ivory Park Police Station. The police urge anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward.
