Anti-crime awareness campaign by Midrand police

MIDRAND – Midrand police and stakeholders held an anti-crime awareness campaign at Carlswald Lifestyle shopping centre.

 

Midrand police together with the Gauteng Department of Community Safety, local security companies, and the Community Policing Forum (CPF) embarked on anti-crime awareness campaign at Carlswald Lifestyle shopping centre on 21 April.

Station Commander Brigadier Tsotsotso and the CPF chairperson, Steven Johnstone honoured the campaign with their presence and participation.

The joint forces interact with the community about crime and gave out pamphlets with safety tips to prevent various crimes including, theft out of motor vehicles, theft of motor vehicles, house robberies and house-breakings, carjackings and robberies.

Contact details of some residents were collected so the police can interact with them for the purpose of assisting the police and stakeholders in fighting crime and sharing important information via various WhatsApp groups in the community.
