Campaign to clean up Rabie Ridge makes progress

MIDRAND – Councillor Pagadi adamant on making Rabie Ridge spotless.

Rabie Ridge‘s Ward 80 councillor, Makgoba Pagadi held a community cleanup campaign on 3 February involving numerous community stakeholders including the Citizen Relation Urban Management (Crum), Pikitup, Community Work Programme (CWP) and Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA).

The Rabie Ridge clean-up is an initiative that was launched by the councillor last year and is set to take place once a month in different areas of the community.

Pagadi said, “The campaign has assisted in the smooth flow of storm water through the drain because there is no blockage, which then leads to fewer pipe bursts and sewerage pipe maintenance.

“The particular road we were cleaning near Modderfontein Road is still in need of tar and we hope that the development of that area is in the… plans of the province.”
