Remember crime safety tips, encourages CPF

MIDRAND – Community Policing Forum has urged all residents to be vigilant of the roads during the festive season.

Midrand Community Policing Forum (CPF) chairperson, Steven Johnstone wished residents a happy Christmas and safe holiday.

“Let us hope that our residents have taken to heart the tips that have been passed on by the Midrand CPF during the year and have kept themselves safe from being victims of crime over this festive season,” said Johnstone.

“For those that have still got seasonal shopping to do, remember how to keep yourselves safe while shopping, how to secure your vehicles in shopping centres and how to make sure that your gift giving is a joy and not a heartache.”

Johnstone urged all community members to remain vigilant on the roads if they will be driving to their holiday destinations.

“To all residents of Midrand and our partners in policing, including the Midrand police, security companies, Metro police and National Road Traffic, I would like to thank you for all your support and wish you a joyous and peaceful Christmas with lots of laughter and love.”
