A Benoni resident, Sirnovia Ghurbarun, is hosting a fundraiser dinner and dance in Midrand in aid of Thermishaa Soman, a 4-year-old girl who was born with cerebral palsy and is unable to speak, walk or see.

Ghurbarun said, “The community has been hosting a number of different events to raise R250 000 for a life-changing operation for Soman.”

The father of the four-year-old, Trishan, said the family is very hopeful that his daughter will receive the finances to do the cerebral palsy operation and thereafter do another operation which will help her to be more independent and walk, talk and see.

The fundraiser will take place at The Private Room, Kyalami Downs, in Midrand. Top DJs will be at the event to raise funds for Soman.

No U18s are allowed into the dance, which will be held on 8 December, and IDs must be presented at the door.
