A truck overturned on Olifantsfontein Road outside the Blue Hills Shopping Centre today, 25 November.
Metro police officer Handry Madzhiga said the driver was transported to hospital after sustaining minor injuries.
“The driver was approaching a green robot which switched to amber before he could cross over. He allegedly tried applying the breaks but his speed did not allow him to slow down in time, and therefore resulted in the truck overturning in an attempt to avoid a collision,” said Madzhiga.
