Diamonds and Pearls Fitcamp seeks to focus on women in Midrand

MIDRAND – Women doing it for themselves.

Nowadays, women, mothers and wives find themselves so busy with demanding jobs and families that they hardly get time for themselves and because of this they tend to neglect their well-being.

As a woman who is passionate about a number of things, especially health and fitness, former Mrs South Africa finalist, Lindela Mzobe founded the Diamonds and Pearls Fitcamp at Halfway House Primary in Midrand.

A Midrand resident, mother and wife, Mzobe works as the executive personal assistant to the chief executive officer of the Technology Innovation Agency and knew a number of ladies who wanted to live active and healthy lifestyles but did not really like the gym environment for various reasons.

Participants work out in the sun.

“We live in communities where women pull each other down every chance they get and so the purpose of the fit camp is not only to help women with body transformations but also to empower women with different goals to come together, encourage and support each other to achieve their individual goals,” said Mzobe.

“We are excited about the upcoming #MkhabaMustFallChallenge starting on 1 November until 9 December. The challenge will encourage the ladies to work even harder as we will announce the lady that lost the most weight on 9 December – the last day of the fit camp sessions.”

The sessions will be held every Saturday from 8am to 9am or 8am to 10am at the same venue.
