Midrand company recognised at SACA awards

Midrand’s Abalandi Holdings scooped the South African Construction Award on 6 October during a red carpet gala event held at Sun City.

The South African Construction Awards board honoured Abalandi Holdings as the best property development site security of the year.

This was the first time that this company was nominated for a national award.

Chief executive officer of Abalandi Holdings, Elton Nkomo said he was even more pleased that with this first nomination, the company went on to actually take it.

The awards are the leading and most prestigious construction awards in South Africa and it recognises achievements, developments and innovation within South Africa’s booming construction industry and features a wide range of categories for solution providers, contractors, security services, architects, developers and local authorities.

Abalandi Holdings deals largely with tracers, office supplies, event management, security and cleaning services and domestic workers.

“Thank you to the board for this accolade, one that I can assure you is held in high esteem by Abalandi Holdings. I am honored to accept the award on behalf of the company and it is heart warming to be recognised alongside the best of the best,” said Nkomo.
