The Midrand TaskTeam undertook very successful joint operations on Friday and Saturday nights. Twenty arrests were made:
- 14 for prostitution
- 6 for drug-related incidents.
The team also assisted with accident scenes due to wet weather over the weekend as well as with domestic violence cases, mainly due to alcohol.
They also responded to the illegal drag racing at the Mall of Africa and maintained high visibility as well and stop-and-search operations at hotspot areas.
The team consisted of the CPF and security companies that assisted the police:
- ARN Security
- MSS Security
- Savika Armed Response
- TRSS
- ADT
- Servest
- Tracker.
