Community does yoga at Beaulieu Bird Sanctuary

JOHANNESBURG – Yoga is a natural stress reliever.

 

Estimates from various industry sources and research firms have indicated that more than 200 million people globally are practising yoga and those numbers are rising fast as millions of people in South America, America, India and Asia are discovering the benefits of yoga.

Internationally recognised non-governmental and non-profit organisation, the International Association of Human Values, invited local families to join in a morning of yoga at the Beaulieu Bird Sanctuary on 7 October.

Entrance was the donation of one can of food which will be donated to the New Jerusalem Children’s Home in President Park.

Yogi talks yoga benefits

Certified yoga teachers coordinated introductory yoga sessions for the adults, children and beginners – with demonstrations in light stretching, mindfulness and fun family-orientated exercises.

The organisation, along with its sister organisation, the Art of Living Foundation, promotes the resurgence of human values in all aspects of life across the globe and develops and programmes of personal development.
