Ivory Park police seek community’s help

MIDRAND – Ivory Park police are calling on the community to help them solve the murder of a young woman.

 

Ivory Park detectives urgently need information about the fatal shooting of a 30-year-old woman in Ivory Park’s Extension 13 on 3 September. They are calling on anyone who has information about the incident to come forward so that the suspect/s can be brought to justice.

“The woman was found with two gunshot wounds in her body in the early hours of Sunday morning. The motive for the murder is still a mystery but the police are following up all leads and have appealed to anyone with any information to contact them,” said Ivory Park police spokesperson Captain Bernard Matimulane.

“The victim was in the company of other people shortly before she was shot. We call upon anyone who saw anything, even when they consider that piece of information to be insignificant, to talk to us [so that we can] connect the dots,” said Brigadier David Mbongeni Ngcobo, the station commander of the Ivory Park police.
