Women in uniform celebrate Women’s Month in Midrand

MIDRAND – Gauteng 10111 Command Centre in Midrand celebrates Women's Month with a glamorous event.

Gauteng 10111 Command Centre celebrated Women’s Month with a glamorous event held at Hope Restoration Ministries in Chlorokop on 24 August.

“Ladies took part in the celebration of the South African Police Service’s Women’s Day [event] which was organised through the Provincial Women’s Network Champions for all women of the Ekurhuleni North Cluster,” said Captain Pinky Tsinyane, the spokesperson for the centre.

“The day was focused on celebrating women through motivation and courageous words. Women got a chance to speak about their challenges and how we can help each other.”

All the women were encouraged to make use of the opportunity provided by the Employment Health Wellness (EHW) programme and communicate their challenges and learn how to stand up for themselves in the work environment.

“We are hoping that the next event will be attended by more women and even men from the centre.”
