Gauteng 10111 member dies in car accident

MIDRAND – The Midrand branch of the Gauteng 10111 Command Centre laid to rest their colleague following a fatal car accident.

A member of the Gauteng 10111 Command Centre based in Midrand died in a car accident and was laid to rest on 29 July in Harrismith, Free State. Siphiwe Richard Kubheka (33), an admin clerk, joined the South African Police Service Gauteng 10111 Command Centre in December 2016.

“We mourned the passing on 26 July during his memorial service,” said Captain Pinky Tsinyane the spokesperson of Gauteng 10111 Centre. Management, colleagues and family members described him as a humble and quiet young man who was always smiling.

“Kubheka died in a collision involving two vehicles in Makhado, Limpopo, while he was accompanying his friend and former colleague Oscar Nevhulamba with his two children back home after spending the June/July school holidays in Tembisa. The fatal accident also took the lives of Nevhulamba and his two children.

“May their souls rest in peace,” said Tsinyane.
