Joburgers fully support Kitty and Puppy Haven

MIDRAND – The day saw about 50 furry friends finding new homes.

Johannesburg dog owners came out in their numbers to support animal shelter Kitty and Puppy Haven in Midrand which held its Pedigree adoption day on 24 June.

The day saw about 50 furry friends finding new homes. Furthermore, Pedigree was present with their pop-up spot offering owners the chance to exchange their empty bag of dog food for a brand new bag. The pet food company’s senior brand manager Ashleigh Sanderson revealed that the brand had also donated R20 000 in dog food to Kitty and Puppy Haven and Ark Animal Rescue in Chartwell.

“Our goal with this campaign is to do all we can to better the lives of shelter dogs countrywide,” said Sanderson.

The company will host pop-up spots for dog lovers at Ark Animal Rescue Centre on 1 July and at Walkhaven Dog Park, Plot 77 in Zwartkop on 17 July.

Pet owners visiting the pop-up sites will have an opportunity to be educated through a mobile engagement platform. The platform will provide information on dog diet and the four universal needs of a healthy dog – nourished skin and coat, healthy digestion, oral care and healthy immunity.
