On Wednesday night, 28 June, Netcare 911 responded to reports of a serious collision at the intersection of Chloorkop Road (M39) and Zuurfontein Avenue near the border of Midrand and Kempton Park.
Upon arrival at the scene, paramedics found that a car and a truck had collided and that the truck had subsequently overturned.
Paramedics attended to three patients at the scene. The two occupants of the car had sustained serious injuries including leg fractures. Both were in considerable pain which paramedics managed by administering analgesic medication.

They were stabilised at the scene before being transported by ambulances, under the care of Advanced Life Support paramedics, to a hospital. The driver of the truck sustained less serious injuries, he was taken to a different hospital for further assessment and care.
This incident was attended by Netcare 911 and other ambulance services, the local Fire Department and the police.
