Ria Sebetsa pays fees for three lucky children

MIDRAND – Struggling parents of three children have been relieved off the burden of paying school fees of six months.

Ria Sebetsa Security Services chief executive officer, Danny Maduray has chosen three children to sponsor with six months school fees for 2017.

In May, Midrand Reporter published an article revealing that Maduray, in partnership with the Midrand Reporter, had embarked on a campaign to pay the school fees for deserving children in the Midrand area. The public was invited to write motivational letters, accompanied by the application, for the sponsorship.

On 22 June Maduray announced that Talent Ncube (11) in Grade 6 at Noordwyk Primary School, Jaden Bikram (8) and his brother Jordan Bikram (11) both from Midrand Primary School had been chosen as beneficiaries of the campaign.

“Children need to be nurtured, directed and taught to be disciplined. Unfortunately, in today’s fast-paced world many children have to endure the many difficulties suffered by their parents due to everyday pressure of financial burdens,” said Maduray.

Colleen Bikram mother of Jaden and Jordan Bikram said she didn’t receive the report cards of her sons in 2016 because she owed school fees. She said she was grateful to Maduray for the more than R10 000 school fees assistance he was offering. “As a single mother, I have been struggling for the past two years. This is a blessing and it is giving me hope for 2017 as one of my sons will be starting high school,” she said.

Talent’s mother Rachel Ncube is a domestic worker and was also struggling to pay off her son’s school fees for the year. She now does not have to worry about paying school fees of six months. “I am so happy and I will only have to pay for transport now,” she said.

Ria Sebetsa Security sponsors a child’s education

Principal for Midrand Primary School Kwena Kgaabi said many parents were struggling to make ends meet and the campaign would go a long way in assisting underprivileged children. “This should encourage other companies to assist and make sure children have access to education including contributing with uniforms and other necessities,” he said.

Maduray said that Ria Sebetsa Security Services would continue helping people in the community for as long as its finances allow them. “It is a sad reality that many children from our community have no food, let alone school books! Children need to think of nothing else but to live like children again without having to worry. I am glad that Ria Sebetsa Security is blessed to be a blessing to our community,” he concluded.
