Midrand Police Station seeks to rid the area of crime, starting with complexes

MIDRAND – Read to see how Midrand police intends to reduce crime in complexes.

 

Midrand Police Station Commander, Brigadier David Tsotsotso hosted a gathering at the station on 24 May to discuss crime in complexes.

Tsotsotso invited body corporates to attend the gathering and discuss crime in complexes despite security guards being present.

Communications officer for Midrand Police Station, Warrant Officer Mmakgomo Semono said the aim of the meeting was to brainstorm ideas to make complexes more safe.

“The meeting was a success and as a result a Body Corporate Forum has been established and will be meeting once a month moving forward,” said Semono.

“I am excited to have many Midrand complexes participating in the forum as it will help reduce crime,” said Tsotsotso.

According to Semono, necessary measures to safeguard complexes will be implemented as the forum continues to meet.
