Police track down three suspects for being in possession of a stolen vehicle

MIDRAND – Police have arrested three men in Klipfontein for the possession of a suspected stolen vehicle.

Three suspects were arrested for being in possession of a suspected stolen vehicle at Klipfonteinview on 30 April by the Benoni Flying Squad.

According to a spokesperson for Rabie Ridge Police station, Captain Mofana Masela, the trio was nabbed after police followed a tracker signal that led them to a house in Klipfonteinview. When police arrived at the house, they found children who referred them to a 23-year-old female who is a tenant at the house. The woman allegedly told the police that the three suspects had asked her if they could park their vehicle on the premises.

“The police… waited for the suspects to come and collect the car. The suspects fetched the car and the flying squad arrested them as they tried to drive off,” said Masela.
