An Uber driver was rushed to Tembisa Hospital on 24 April after he was allegedly attacked by 10 occupants of a maxi taxi at Mall of Africa.
According to Midrand police officers, the 35-year-old Uber driver was waiting for a client on entrance six of the mall when 10 men in a Maxi Taxi allegedly approached his white Ford Focus vehicle and attacked him.
Spokesperson for Midrand Police Station, Warrant Officer Mmakgomo Semono said when police attended to the complaint, they found the driver in his vehicle and bleeding from the head.

“He was taken to Tembisa Hospital by an ambulance. We appeal to anyone with information that can assist with the investigation to contact the police,” Semono said.
No arrests have been made as yet.
